ALL THINGS CHARGERS

As mentioned earlier in the week the meme about the London games for 2018 is false. Here is what I know for sure. The Mexico game will be announced any day and it is the Rams at Chiefs in Mexico. As for London the Chargers will be giving up a home game this year and next year per the NFL Rules due to relocation.

Due to NFL rules, teams that are playing in temporary homes or that have recently been awarded the Super Bowl are required to play a home game internationally. The Los Angeles Rams, upon relocating from St. Louis, agreed to host an international game from 2016–2019, while their new stadium is being built. The Los Angeles Chargers, who will be sharing the stadium with the Rams once it is completed, will also host an International Series game in 2018 and 2019, only getting out of the 2017 game because the team had executed its out clause to move from San Diego after the 2017 International Series games had been announced.

Now the Raiders have to play In London. It also has to be a home game lost so that means Denver, KC, Chargers, Steelers, Seahawks, Browns, Rams and the Colts. Kc playing in Mexico and normally overseas is not divisional games.

My Prediction is Seahawks vs Raiders in London. Rams and Chiefs in Mexico.

In 2017, the London games were already announced as Dean announced he was moving the team to LA. The Chargers got a break but for the next two years they have to surrender a home game. Under the same rules and a home schedule of Broncos, Chiefs, Raiders, Cardinals, Ravens, 49ERS, Bengals and the Titans.

My prediction is Ravens vs Chargers.

                                                           HARD KNOCKS

Now there is also the show Hard Knocks. Back in 2006, the show which ultimately didn't air the series that year but there were zeroing in on the 2006 Chargers. Dean Spanos and Marty was okay with it but AJ Smith who mocked the show often as phony ended the discussion. This year the circumstances actually favor the Chargers overwhelmingly. Should the Chargers do it in a football sense? NO! Will they agree to be featured for the first time on the network hit? YES!!! This is a brillant way to branch out to the community of LA to take notice of the forgotten NFL team that no one cares about. The teams being considered are the Browns, Redskins, Broncos, Ravens, 49ERS and the Chargers. This is one of my favorite shows on television  and you do get a honest true background of the vibe and going ons during training camp.

                                                             OFFSEASON

There are many moves and answers to questions that need to be addressed before the NFL draft in April. I believe the team has 32 million in cap space entering the new league year March 14th. What to do with Jason Verrett. The team really can't keep Antonio Gates and I'm suspect he would take a pay cut from his 5 million dollar contract. Sadly, I think he meets with Telesco in early March and that we have seen the last game of Antonio Gates in a Chargers uniform.

They team has scouts already out scouting QB Josh Allen, Baker Mayfield and Lamar Jackson. Where the Chargers pick up a QB to take over for Rivers I don't know. But this is not a debate, The Chargers are taking the QB of the future in the 2018 NFL Draft in Dallas. That QB would then be groomed until Rivers retires when his contract expires at the end of the 2019 season. Sadly, Rivers we not play in the new stadium in Inglewood.

We'll look at the draft and Free Agency soon. Right now this team has critical holes to fill if they want to reach the next level and end their 4 year drought of not reaching the Playoffs. Team needs is QB, OT, C, ILB, and FS. They need to find a suitable kicker presumably a veteran for the 2018 season.

We'll also explore the teams 2018 free agents and who may be let go in the offseason. Jason Verrett, Attaochu and so many more questions that face this team. When you're 9-7 or 8-8 one decision can move you up or face palm the team into a 6-10 season.

Next up the site will be a very detailed piece on the stadium in Inglewood. We're going to explore facts no assumptions. The team has also helped me with this and the numbers that fans are looking at in regards to PSL. Will the average fan be priced out of the new stadium?

Elsewhere you get guesses and rumors. Here you get the cold hearted facts whether for or against my personal beliefs.
