There is currently a significant shortage of impact blood supply in San Diego. What better way to spend a afternoon before the Chiefs- Chargers game then to save someone life. I myself needed a blood transfusion in June while having surgery at Grossmont Hospital.

You can mingle and get autographs from the San Diego Padres will be there such as Greg Vaughn, Chris Gomez, Steve Finley, Wally Joiner and Randy Jones. Former Chargers include Benirschke, Ed White, Kellen Winslow and Kris Dielman. The Sockers, Aztecs, Xolos, and the USD Toreros will have representation in attendance as well.

In the California Ballroom a variety of panels will assemble remembering the great history of some of San Diego favorite moments.

11am-12pm The voice of the Sockers and Gulls Craig Elstein will host a panel of representatives of the two clubs and the history created at the San Diego Sports Arena.

2pm-3pm Ted Lightner will host a panel remembering the magical 1998 San Diego Padres season.

3pm-4pm Chris Ello will gather some of the players from the "Epic in Miami" game to discuss one of the greatest games ever played in NFL History.

There will be some amazing prizes giving away in what is sure to be a historic beginning to a new tradition celebrating San Diego sports past and saving some lives in the process. You can go to the website www.SanDiegoBloodBank.org for more information.

Afterwards there is a viewing party at Cali Comfort BBQ 8910 Troy Street in Spring Valley at 5:30pm to watch the Chargers vs Chiefs
