The Crips and Bloods have nothing on the anger between San Diego and LA Charger fans. Hell, The fighting just between san diego fans is becoming nauseating. Screams of "You are not a real fan" get tossed around like some of you think you wrote the book on how to be a fan. Just stop it already!
With that said, I don't care if you go to the games or stay home and watch on it on TV. I don't care if you despise the team and have washed your hands of them. ALL of you were San Diego Charger fans recently. You all stood together beside each other on Sundays and rooted for the team.
NO ONE has any right to judge another fan because of the decision they made after Jan 12th, 2017!!!
If you don't follow the team but constantly call out fans who have chosen to still support the team go and do us all a favor... Shut The Fuck UP!
The exact same goes for all of us no matter what position we decided to take. "I'm a city fan or I'm a team fan not a city" please take note... Shut The Fuck Up!
If you are a San Diego fan who is taking their anger out on the LA charger fans just stop it! They made the trip loyally for years from LA and never complained. They tailgated right beside you. They bought season tickets just like most of you.
So there may be a couple of dumb asses like John Reis on social media. The big mouth know nothing it all blow hards who just likes to hear the sound of their own voice. You know who they are. There are a few John Reis on both sides and all sides of this argument. They are not worth addressing anymore. They are in the minority not the majority.
Dean Spanos wins if you let your emotions divide us as a whole.
LA Fans: Let's stop pretending you know why the team left. Try to refrain from calling out San Diego fans. You don't know what happened down here or why. I don't care who you are not one LA charger fan was in the meetings I was in regards to keeping the team here or whether it was Cory Briggs, Goldman Sachs, The Mayor, JMI Realty or the team. For the overall good of "Charger Fans" let's work together and be mindful of what San Diego fans feel.
SD Fans: Stop taking your anger out on people that had nothing at all to do with the team moving. The great majority of LA fans are really cool people that are happy the team is in their city now. Just because you might have gotten offended by what one LA fan said let's not brush the entire city as that person.
Let's make at least an effort to stop the attacking. Maybe in 2018 we can work on slowly united the two cities again as one fanbase. During the Save Our Bolts movement we had Raider fans working with Charger fans to keep the teams in their cities. We had no greater friends than our rivals from up north. Why? Because the overall goal was more important than some short term grudge.
Johnny Bolt Pride taught me "To agree to disagree but not be disagreeable." We should all practice this term for the rest of the season and the offseason. Bolt on Bolt crime should end now. I know emotions still run high but it's time to take a breath and stop the childish attacks between the two cities.
I myself have practiced this same thing. After a lot of miscommunication between the two city fan bases. A problem broke out with me in the middle of it cause of my reactions to a situation that was not needed. To make up for this personal flaw of mine I went up to the LA fans tailgate before the Browns game. I was accepted with open arms (and cans of beer) and we all just let it be.
Lets let cooler heads prevail and no matter what your position is or someone else lets respect and not question that personal decision. This dilemma is the same with ex chargers. Lance Alworth doesn't want anything to do with LA. It's not a smack at the city he and others just don't feel the investment they did as San Diego Chargers. Many of you have attacked Billy Ray Smith and Nick Hardwick for their position on the matter. Let me say right here and right now. I texted Nick Hardwick the night of his decision to go with the team in LA. I offered my support to him. The man broke his fucking neck on the field for you. He bleed on the field for you. Now he a traitor or a backstabber? JUST STOP IT!
I support Joseph MacRae flying a plane over Carson. I support those who can't bring themselves to follow the team to Carson. I support those who bought season tickets this year. I have enough emotions and turmoil within myself about the team relocating after 56 years. I'm pissed off and in denial. Then I'm in denial that I'm pissed off. Most of the time I get pissed off cause I'm in denial. It's a shit storm of emotions for all of us.
However, WE WERE ALL CHARGER FANS at one point. For those who support the team or the players WE ARE ON THE SAME TEAM!
So join me in not posting threads that are encouraged to light the flames of this topic. You know who you are!
Let's make a pledge to one another. "I will agree to disagree but not be disagreeable with others with a different viewpoint than my own. I will not engage others who sole mission in their sad life to broaden the divide between us instead of trying to unite which we have in common. I will put in Tupac and listen to California Love in hopes that someday the LA fans will tailgate with the SD fans and party like only us southern california peeps know how to party. That is united and focusing on what unites us not that in which divides us."
Slowly but surely maybe we can go from a Crips and Bloods relationship to a more civil family like relationship again! We can be united in rooting for the Chargers and wishing evil on Dean Spanos!
