ALL THINGS CHARGERS..PRO DAY THURSDAY

Start off with some bad news then we'll get to the good news.

Seems Tre Boston is not happy with the Chargers front office. At about 330pm today he took to Twitter to express his discontent with the team and how the negotiations have gone.

As reported on our own radio show Saturday BoltBlitzLive. W had Eric Williams of ESPN on and he stated Boston was unhappy with the teams offer to him. While the amount is unknown it is believed he turn down the offer from the Chargers.

His displeasure even made it way to Pro Football Talk and Mike Florio reported Boston was unhappy with the FA market safeties were getting. (The highest paid safety so far was Honey Badger with the Texans for 7 million dollars on a 1 year deal.) Boston took a 1 year deal with the Chargers last year on a kinda of "pay to play" contract. A team friendly deal and he had to be productive if he wanted a long term deal. A link to couple of weeks ago on Pro Football Talk http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/03/30/tre-boston-learning-theres-no-safety-in-being-a-free-agent/.  As for Tre Boston think before you act brah.

But as the Chargers salary cap kept diminishing so did the value in the free agents market for a safety. The Chargers have $5 million in cap space. They need $6.2 million for the draft. They have used what limited resources they have at the moment in cap space to resign Casey Hayward, Nick Dzunbar, Adrian Phillips, Geremy Davis, and tendered a 2nd round on Tyrell Williams. They added Mike Pouncey a 3 time Pro Bowler with the Dolphins at center, kicker Caleb Sturgis, TE Virgil Green from Denver, Jaylen Watkins from Philly to create depth at safety and QB Geno Smith on a 1 year deal for exactly what Clemons was making. Geno will fight it out with  Cardale Jones to be the backup in 2018 to Rivers. The winner gets to sit with Philip in the film room and the loser will probably be released right before the season. Sorry the market it was it is Tre.

Today's outburst might have ended any chance of Boston being signed after the draft. We'll see what the team and the other teams feel about it as Free agency kicks into it's 2nd cycle after the draft

Jerome Baker Is from Ohio State and according to his Instagram he visiting the Chargers today.

Rugby player Jordan Mailata will visit Friday. The Chargers are going to get another look see after his Pro Day in Tampa last week. It's a lot to look at he is 6'8 and 346 pounds. Here is some highlights above of the 20 year old from 2017.

On Thursday the Chargers will have their Pro Day for local participants. Eric Williams with ESPN will be there to keep us informed of any happenings associated with the workouts.

Notice I've referred to LB USC Uchenna Nwosu as a player the team loves in the 2nd round. Kameron Kelly from SDSU could sign on as a undrafted free agent after the draft.

Lastly, I have token on 3 brilliant football minds to be added on to the site as contributors. Look for some articles with different perspectives coming from them soon. But Congrats to Jay Cee from Vista, Ca, Ernesto Vega from San Bernardino and Rudy "El Cargador" Flores (white mask) from Cicero, IL. Look forward to you all reading their thoughts soon.
