EASTER TREAT, TP OLD STUFF!! ENJOY CHARGER FANS

Every blog normally covers the same topics over and over again. As a fan it gets really boring hearing multiple people cover the same thing over and over again. In 2013, I joined Dave "Booga" Peters at Boltblitz. I wanted to do something unique and different then all the others. So despite the risks involved of looking like a fool or not being able to book media members I thought of how to introduce you to the people who cover the Chargers on a personal level. I spent the off season interviewing the media for personal stories into their past and get their opinions on certain topics.

So I began with Derek Togerson of NBCSanDiego, Annie Heilbrunn of the UT, Tom Krasovic and Michael Gehlken, that led me to local sports talk radio Ernie Martinez, Judson Richards and Lee "Hacksaw" Hamilton. I then added the former Chargers photographer Jesse Arroyo and CBS Rapid Reports Dan McLellan. Finally I ended the series with 2 interviews in the beginning of 2015 with Mark Fabiani.

I hope you enjoy the old stuff that most of you haven't seen before. As a bonus I'm included a fans perspective that was done with myself by fellow writer Will McCafferty. A forum I attended with Dave put on by the Society of Professional Journalism with four reporters covering " How to cover a team that wants to leave and a debate between Dave, Derek Togerson, Dave Freaker and Dan McLellan in early 2014 as the stadium saga was beginning to get on the fast track.

I hope you enjoy this early work and tune into BoltBlitzLive on Saturday's with Dave, Myself and Gregg Williams at 3pm to 5pm (west coast time) at https://www.wblzmedia.com/.

In September of 2016, The Fred Maas for the Chargers named Jason Riggs and myself as a representative of the team at a debate put on by the Voice of San Diego at SDSU called "Politifest 2016". The debate was for "Measure C.. The Future of the Chargers Stadium" moderated by Scott Lewis. Reader Josh Albrektson will love this one. Not one of my best days.

On one side was (asshole) Councilman Chris Cate, ( a big dummy) Architect of the Downtown Library Rob Quigley and "bat shit crazy) Julie Meier Wright who was the former CEO SD Regional Economic Development.

On Chargers side was myself with Save Our Bolts, Jason Riggs with Stadium Coalition and Marcela Escobar-Ecks who was an adviser to the team on land use consultants.

A little bit out of my league the 1 hour debate in front of 99.5% of people violently opposed to the stadium was a learning experience. It took about 15 minutes for me to get pissed off at Chris Cate LOL!

Thank you reading feel free to comment. Happy Easter to you and your family.
