3RD FOOTBALL LEAGUE OR IS THERE A SCAM GOING ON? UPDATED

It seems a 3rd football league was on the verge of an announcement any day now. The league calling themselves the MLFB (Major League Football) has players and investors already invested in this questionable venture. They claim to be ready to announce their plans in mid June of 2018 for what they describe to be a partnership with the NFL for a developmental league. Owners and teams executives were briefed in Orlando of the progress.
The league describes themselves as "MLFB is a publicly traded professional spring football league that will deliver football that is explosive, innovative, and focused on the fan experience."

I heard about this league for the first time today and decided to investigate the who, what, when and where to the speculated league. They say on their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/majorleaguefootball/ that they will file the form 10K an annual report with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

"We now anticipate that our required SEC reports will be filed by Mid-June. This will allow us to proceed with our plan to sign and assemble players for a camp/tryouts this summer which will include a limited number of games and a regular full season in 2019.
"Players who we drafted in 2016, WHO ARE IN PLAYING SHAPE, and are still interested in participating, should email their current contact info and living address to Players@mlfb.com. More info will be forthcoming."

They also claim to be associated with the NFL in some form "MLFB management just returned from Orlando and the NFL Owners meetings where they updated League and team officials on their plans for MLFB's camp and season in 2018 and beyond. Responses were favorable."

In each case they seem to be telling their followers that they are moving forward but never seem to be doing anything. They could be a scam out to steal investors of their money with false promises. Could the NFL had planned a developmental league only to cave with the recent announcements of the XFL and AAF? With a page of 9,000 likes I would assume this is a ongoing scam in progress.

A email and website that simply says coming soon seems to be odd as well. MLFB management just returned from Orlando and the NFL Owners meetings where they updated League and team officials on their plans for MLFB's camp and season in 2018 and beyond. Responses were favorable.

For now, I will post the information I have and share it with people who can look into this deeper.

UPDATE 06-12-2018

Upon further review this was a plan with the NFL approval. The Facebook and website are fake. The original plan was headed by former Chargers Wes Chandler.

So we were right in being skeptical about this. Also a good reminder to be careful what you believe on social media. Ask yourself does this make sense? Then verify what is there to be truthful.
